[10/22/2004] Triangle CAFA and NCCBA hosted a luncheon today to welcome Huai'An economic delegate from China. CAFA president Tao Peng and NCCBA president Frank Wang attended the luncheon.

Huai'an is a municipality under the jurisdiction of the Jiangsu Province of China. It is located in the hinterland of northern Jiangsu Plain. Huai'an is a city rich in history and culture. The Author of "Story of Monkey God" was born and raised in Huai'An. So was Enlai Zhou, the first prime minister of PRC. Going into this century, Huai'An has established an economic development special district, where joint ventures between Chinese and Foreign companies invested almost $1.5 billion USD.

The head of the delegate, Mr. Hongyu Chen, is the secretary at large and economic consultant of the Huai'an city governemnt. The delegate includes 8 people covering industry, finance, media, government, and foreign affair.

The attendees of the luncheon had a very productive seession networking with each other and exchanging ideas between corresponding industrial partners.
